Five stars from seven people is a promising listing, not a proven one. So I have ranked them by how much evidence stands behind the score, described what each one actually puts in front of you, and left the thin samples at the bottom instead of at the top where the stars would put them.

Because the star ratings here are effectively tied. Three of the six sit at 4.9 and three at 5.0, and the gap between those numbers is smaller than the gap between sixty-two people and seven. A listing with seven reviews has not yet met a rainy Tuesday, a late group, a guide covering a shift or a family with a fussy child. A listing with sixty-two has met all of them and still reads 4.9.
That is not a reason to avoid the small listings. Two of them are the most distinctive things on this site, and the cooking class in particular does something none of the walking tours can. It is a reason to book them for the format rather than for the number, and to read the description twice. If you want the shape of all six side by side instead of six reviews, which food tour to choose is a table rather than an argument, and the tours page lists them plainly.
What a rating never tells you
It does not tell you who the tour turns away. The coffee walk states on its own listing that it does not suit vegans, vegetarians, or guests who cannot eat gluten or lactose. The cooking class states that it does not suit people with food allergies. Neither of those is an opinion I am offering, and neither shows up in a star rating. They are on the dietary page alongside the rest.
It does not tell you the season either. The island tasting runs on a waterbus to Pihlajasaari, and the waterbus does not run in winter, so a five-star summer product is not an offer in February. The market halls are the winter answer, and the best time to visit sets out what closes and when.
And it does not tell you what the three hours are worth to you, which is the only question that matters and the one I cannot answer with a number, on a site that publishes no figures at all. What a food tour costs makes that argument in portions, stops and hours instead.
Where to start
First visit, one free afternoon, no strong preference: read the city tour review. It has the deepest evidence and the most conventional route. Book the tour, then read its meeting point on the confirmation the night before rather than on the morning. These six start in five different places, one of them on an island suburb and one outside a café by the water.
